Dana and Mark at Astors Beechwood in Newport, Part Two - Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

Posted by Trish: Photos by Melissa and Trish

So we're back with more fabulousness from Dana and Mark! I was chasing the rings for hours and then at the last minute I discovered them up at the alter before the wedding...whew!

Dana and her mom peeking into the chapel before the ceremony.

Can't you just feel the anticipation here? Diamonds always help calm nerves!

And the grand entrance...

Dana's sister helps with the veil as Dana lights a candle at the alter in memory of her Dad, an emotional moment indeed.

The ceremony was held at the new chapel at Salve which was just recently completed, this was only the second wedding to happen there.

I'm loving the enthusiasm here, woo hoo!!!!

The chapel is so beautiful and bright, and new smelling. I told Mark how lovely the natural light was and he said just wait until 4:30, there is a giant sun streak that comes right on to the alter. He was not kidding! Of course it was right on Dana, the only one in white. She asked if she was sun burned after the wedding, she was cooking! I'm going to put in a request to frost those windows...

Married...finally!

On to Astors for the reception...

This place is so beautiful. It was sold to a private owner and will not be hosting weddings any longer, so this is my last one here. I'm really bummed out as I love to work here!

More beautiful paper for the menu cards.

Something blue!

This room is so amazing, the blue is so calming.

Dana was excited to see the room all set up. All that planning really pays off!

Paul at Broadway Florists did an amazing job.

Streets are the new table numbers.

The bigger the better, you can never have too much cake! I want to bring back the giant cake.

The green really pulled it all together, so magical!

I loved the arched windows here. Well, I DID love the arched windows.

They even had the adjoining room set up with tables, I had never seen that before.

I love this shot of Dana, she's so relaxed heading to the cocktail hour.

Cascading.

Lovely tasty treats by Blackstone.

Funny story. After I took this photo I figured why not try a cup of the Del's while I'm here, only to discover that it had TONS of vodka in it. That's kind of horrific when you are not expecting it, I also hate the taste of it. I stuck with water and juice after that.

here's our girl Raina again with her trusty clipboard in hand making sure that things are going according to schedule. Of course they were! And she had some horsdeurves for the b+g to make sure they got something to eat!

They are not too excited to be coming into this reception!

The first dance.

They were so happy, so cute!

Back out for a few more photos after dinner.

They were so relaxed now, and having an awesome wedding!

I love it!

Crazy dancing ensued after dinner was done! Check out her cute reception headband.

See what I mean about crazy dancing...

They really look so happy here, what a great day!

One of my favs, they were off and running back to the reception!

Thanks for a great day you two, although a bit hot and sweaty, you would never know from the photos, you looked amazing!
