For my card today, I used #214 Basketball Tilda from the brand new Winner Takes it All collection which currently in stock and available right now over at Magnolia-licious!! You will find the largest selection of Magnolia images in North America available at Magnolia-licious and Diana offers superb service! She's stamped onto X Press It Blending Cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. Shes then cut out using circle Nestabilities and machine stitched. I used a salmon pearl pen around the scallops. The jury is still out on this card, what do you think? I mean, I really like the way the card itself turned out, but I'm torn with this cute little basketball player being on this gorgeous, lacy, flowery card. What do you think? Does it work?? I hope so, cause it's going to a VERY special friend of mine, and she only deserves the best.
The papers are Basic Grey Capella (one of my most favorite patterns of their's EVER) matted by Bazzill cardstock. That lace you see peeking out the bottom was a big time score from an antique mall when I was visiting my sis Peggy in Illinois. The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is white May Arts silk ribbon colored with my R12 Copic marker. It stiffens up the silk, but you end up with a ribbon exactly the color you want. Pretty cool, huh? Here's a peek at the inside.....
And then the actual inside sentiment side. As you can see, these adorable sports images can be used for more than just sports cards.
