When photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank walked into her boyfriend’s Manhattan apartment, she didn’t know that she would be engaged to him in ten months, nor did she know that her future mother-in-law would be Cynthia Frank, Elle Décor’s contributing editor at large! They immediately became friends, and Frank helped Swanson design the interior.
Claiborne Swanson Frank’s book, American Beauty: 100 Portraits of American Women, is being released in the spring by Assouline.
Claiborne had grown up in beautiful homes designed by her godfather, the uber talented Thomas Britt. She had a few good pieces of art to add to an eclectic mix found while visiting some of the best auction houses, vintage shops, and flea markets. After three years, the couple’s home has evolved into a comfortable, relaxed and chic home. ENJOY!

See you soon,
